The Harlem Globetrotters are a worldwide icon, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills. The Globetrotters represent nine decades of breaking down barriers, acts of goodwill and a commitment to fans that goes beyond the game.  During segregation we introdued millions of people around the world to our culture and how the game of basketball can bring people together to laugh and have a good time.  Many players have made sacrifices for people like me to continue this tradition since 1926. We are ambassadors of goodwill who do more than what you see on the court. We visit schools, hospitals and bring families together like no other organization in the world.  The history is so rich and it is an honor to be a part of an organization and hear all the stories they had to go through to make this possible for us today. I have always considered myself a Globetrotter in my own way since I was a young kid, but now being a part of this team is a dream come true and makes me an accomplished modern day African American figure.  I have a special challenge going on for February that I want to share with everyone. If you want to participate in this challenge follow the details below:
Do a project on me with the Harlem Globetrotters. This project can include a poem, poster, drawing, song, video, essay, jersey etc. BE CREATIVE!! This contest will end on February 14, which is Valentines Day. I have always given you my heart throughout the years just like all the past, current and future Harlem Globetrotters so its only right to end it on that special day. Submit your project to me via email (info@tayfishersfbc.com) and I will share your work with my teammates. They will decide who will be the winner. As a Harlem Globetrotter we are innovators and very creative. Therefore, I would expect the same from you.
